Function & responsibilities

• You are responsible for introducing, leading and implementing all kinds of operations-related continuous improvement projects. The diversity of technologies within the production processes, such as extrusion, beaming, weaving, finishing, recycling is really your cup of tea.
• You develop proposals to optimize and improve existing processes such as implementing standards and reducing time for change-overs and production stops.
• You analyse operational processes by using analytical tools.
• You always investigate possible alternatives and are critical of the existing working method.
• You keep energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness top of mind and proactively suggest optimizations.  Sustainability is a common thread throughout your projects.
• Improvement proposals are always drawn up from the perspective of optimizing safety.
• You have an eye for the quality of the production process and the products and take measures where necessary.
• You proactively anticipate any operational problems.
• You follow current trends, analyse them and keep your knowledge up-to-date and share this with your colleagues.
• You spend at least 50% of your time in production.
• You report to the Technology Manager.

Your profile

• MSC industrial or civil engineering or equivalent through experience.
• You have a strong knowledge of Excel. Experience with Power BI is an advantage.
• You have a passion for data analysis and know how to quickly turn insights into the right actions and follow-up.
• You are hands-on and result-oriented.
• You have at least 3-5 years of experience in a production environment. Experience in continuous improvement and project management is a plus.
• You take the lead and you monitor the progress of the projects.
• You are fluent in Dutch or French, and in English.
